Intensive Foster Care

Intensive Foster Care, or Intensive Services Foster Care (ISFC), is a program that provides medical health or mental health treatment delivered in a specialized ISFC Resource Family home.

There are two basic types of ISFC homes:

  • Homes specialized in youths with Serious Emotional and Behavioral Needs (SEBN).
  • Homes specialized in caring for youth with Special Health Care Needs (SHCN) such as enteral feeding tube or oxygen support.

Caregivers who provide intensive foster care receive additional training and are compensated at the highest foster care rate for Resource Parents.
